The Clinical Skills Office exists to cultivate confident, safe, and patient-centered clinicians by delivering hands-on, competency-based training in clinical examination, procedural techniques, simulation, and bedside decision-making for medical students, interns, and early-career practitioners. We combine high-fidelity simulation, structured bedside teaching, supervised procedural practice, formative assessment, and interprofessional workshops to develop technically skilled, reflective, and ethically grounded providers. Our programs emphasize patient safety, evidence-based procedures, effective communication, teamwork, and culturally sensitive care; preparing trainees to translate knowledge into excellent clinical practice and lifelong learning.

When I transitioned from the basic to the clinical years, I realized how hard it was to access hands-on cardiology skills and structured exposure. I often felt lost trying to connect the dots between lecture-based learning and real patient care. This gap inspired me to take on the role of Skills Officer: “to make sure others don’t face the same struggle again.”
