These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you, the user of this website (“User”), and the Cardiology Interest Group of Jerusalem (“CARDIG-Jerusalem”), a student-led nonprofit initiative recognized by Al-Quds University. By accessing, browsing, or otherwise utilizing this website (the “Site”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of this Site.
The Site is intended exclusively for educational and informational purposes in relation to the academic and extracurricular activities of CARDIG-Jerusalem. While the content herein may relate to matters of health, medicine, or cardiology, the Site does not, and shall not be construed to, provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. No content on the Site is a substitute for professional medical consultation, and Users are expressly advised to seek appropriate professional care for medical concerns.
By using the Site, the User covenants and agrees to utilize the Site solely for lawful purposes consistent with the nonprofit, educational mission of CARDIG-Jerusalem. The User shall not employ the Site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, impair, or otherwise interfere with the functionality or security of the Site. The User further agrees not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Site or its content without the express prior written consent of CARDIG-Jerusalem Executive Board.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the content of the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and design elements, are and shall remain the exclusive property of CARDIG-Jerusalem unless otherwise credited. Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of such materials may constitute a violation of intellectual property laws and is strictly prohibited. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal and educational purposes only.
The Site may contain hyperlinks or references to external websites or third-party content provided solely for the convenience of Users. CARDIG-Jerusalem neither endorses nor assumes responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or reliability of any external content or linked website. Users acknowledge and agree that accessing such third-party resources is undertaken at their sole risk, and CARDIG-Jerusalem shall bear no liability arising therefrom.
The Site and all content therein are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. CARDIG-Jerusalem expressly disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No representation or warranty is made that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor that the information contained therein will be complete or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CARDIG-Jerusalem, its officers, members, affiliates, and volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Users expressly acknowledge that the use of the Site is undertaken at their own risk.
CARDIG-Jerusalem respects the privacy of its Users and undertakes to handle any personal information provided through the Site in accordance with applicable laws and solely for educational or organizational purposes. Personal information shall not be sold, rented, or otherwise transferred to unauthorized third parties. A separate Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of User data, and such policy is incorporated herein by reference.
CARDIG-Jerusalem reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any such modifications shall become effective immediately upon their posting to the Site. Continued use of the Site following the posting of revised Terms shall constitute the User’s acceptance of such modifications.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in Al-Quds University, the American College of Cardiology and the State of Palestine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts seated in Jerusalem.
