What It Is

A named role, inside a named office.

An assistant is formally appointed by an office to provide academic, operational, or logistical support within its portfolio. Every position now carries a defined title and remit rather than a generic slot: you are appointed as the Research Protocol Assistant, or the Design Assistant, and you carry that part of the office's work. Selection runs on a published hundred-point scale, so every candidate is measured the same way.

Where You Can Serve

Twenty-one positions across three divisions

Each office appoints a fixed number of assistants to defined roles. The Presidency appoints none. The Vice President and External Attaché substitute for them.

Executive Board 2 positions
Presidency0

President, Vice President, and External Attaché. The latter two are selected by the elected President and stand in place of assistants.

60/100
The pass mark

Score 60 or above and you pass, entering competitive selection. Where multiple candidates pass, the highest total is appointed. Below 60 is an automatic dismissal regardless of how many people applied. If every applicant falls short, the position is reopened under a second call rather than filled.

The Process

From call to appointment

01
The call opens

The Membership Officer publishes the application form at least three days before the official Call for Assistants, and the Brand Studio announces it.

02
You submit

All nine items, through the official form. Incomplete or improperly submitted applications are rejected at this stage.

03
Your form is scored

Three assessors score it out of ten independently, and the average becomes your form score. Ten of your hundred points are decided before you ever sit down.

04
You interview

Fifteen to twenty minutes, scheduled by the Membership Officer. Three panels in fixed order: the officer first, then the Membership Officer, then the Executive Board. Every question maps to a published criterion.

05
Selection and approval

Scores are entered on a central sheet. The Membership Officer compiles the list, the Vice President authorizes it, and the Executive Board approves the final appointments.

06
You hear back

Acceptance and rejection are both issued formally by email from the Membership Officer.

Apply

Twenty-one seats. One scoring sheet. No shortcuts.

Applications open with each official Call for Assistants. Prepare your CV, motivational letter, and ACC Member ID in advance. The call window is short.

Questions about the process go to the Membership Office: office@member.cardig.me. This page summarizes the Assistants Scoring Regulations; where any difference arises, the Constitution, Bylaws, and the policy itself prevail.
